Kitty Holland:If you are really nervous, talk to your RE. I think you can be sedated pretty heavily so you won't feel a thing!
I hated the ER, but I did it without any medication/sedation (wasn't offered and I didn't know to ask for it) so if I have to do it again I'll get sedation.
Good luck!!
Holy crap! Who is your RE and why does he think you're some Amazonian Wonder Woman? He is clearly a *** who likes to hurt people.
OP- standard practice is to put you completely out for ER. I sat on the table, started joking with one of the nurses, then woke up 20 minutes later in the recovery area with a container of animal crackers and a warm blanket. Aside from the unfashionable hair net, it was easy-peasy. I felt a little sore after, but it was tolerable. Honestly, by the end of stims there was so much weight and pressure in my lower abdomen that I felt better after ER.
