Another lurker/newbie question - first symptoms

DH and I have been TTC for about 7 months.  I have been tracking AF & fertility window using an app. I haven't started charting/temping yet - but am seriously thinking about it.

Anyway - I have heard of people saying that they just 'knew' that they were pregnant.  In your experience, was there any one or combination of early symptoms (before missed period) that told you, yep...totally preggers?  

I know that I am grasping at straws today.  I am having some cramps and the 'girls' are tingling.  I had the same thing going on a few months ago and my cycle just happened to be 38 days.  I really had my hopes up and was very disappointed when AF showed up.

I had no symptoms out of the ordinary before my BFP in December, anything I did feel was what I normally get in my 2WW, all symptoms that some might hope to attribute to pregnancy, such as sore boobs, cramping/pulling sensations, nausea, light headedness.  So nothing to give me a hint, other than my temps on my chart were very high and stayed there through when I should have got AF.

I've been pregnant enough times lately to know  without testing but I also get very specific and different symptoms than my normal PMS-type symptoms.

For me, I get very very painfully sore and hard boobs and a constant undying thirst for water even though most days I hate drinking water. Also, my dog likes to play personal space invasion when I'm pregnant when she usually just ignores me.

(Feel free to judge me on that last one)

I had none of the usual symptoms of pregnancy before my missed period, they all started at about 6 weeks. The only thing that seemed different was my scalp was very sensitive but I dont think that had anything to do with it ahhah.

My temperature stayed up.  Our timing was terrible and I don't recall feeling any different from previous 2WWs.  When my temp had not dropped by 16DPO I tested and got the faint second line.

My BFP was my first pregnancy symptom.

Tests are so sensitive that you can get a positive test before your missed period and before symptoms hit you. Back in the day, that was not the case and I could see how you would "know".

I don't judge you at all on that. I believe animals sometimes just "know". Heck, there are some dogs that can smell cancer.

The only thing out of the ordinary for me before I got my BFP with DS was my gums started bleeding when I brushed and flossed, when they hadn't prior

I really thought I was pregnant this cycle. My chart looked great. I totally convinced myself I was. I just got my period 16DPO. TTC is a mind fluck.

I did a terrible job charting the cycle I got pregnant. During my normal workout, my pulse was faster than usual and I was feeling really winded. So much so that I stopped mid-workout and thought "Hmmm, this is different. Maybe I'm pregnant." I tested the next morning and got a +.

I did just have a feeling, despite the fact that we weren't ttc at the time.  My earliest symptoms were that my boobs were much more sore than normal pms sore- that was maybe two or three days before af was due.  The day after af was due, I noticed that I suddenly had a crazy strong sense of smell, and normally I can't smell a thing. So when that happened, I just knew. Tested the next morning and got a bfp.

All 3 times were different.

1st:  Accidental pregnancy. Everything tasted revolting and I had bouts of vertigo like I was in a Spike Lee movie.  I took a cup of lemonade back to the counter at a fast food joint and told the cashier it was made with "rotten lemons".   She replied, "It was made with powder concentrate".Embarrassed

2nd:  LESS pms than usual.  Peeing constantly.

3rd:  No symptoms.  Positive hpt is the only proof that I was ever pregnant.

My boobs hurt like a mother effer for the short while I was pregnant.

Otherwise, I didn't really "feel" anything. I tested because it was 12DPO and I had oddly thrown up the night before, but I'm pretty sure that was unrelated as I had no more vomiting incidents after.

Every BFP, I've tested because I was horribly nauseated. Different than my usual PMS nausea.

ETA: However, I think many feel "must be pregnant!" quite a few cycles and actually are not. I know I did. Shiit, first cycle I tested on my honeymoon because I was so sure I was KTFU.

My boobs were sore to the touch. That's not a usual PMS symptom for me so I tested and it was positive!

I thought I "just knew" almost every cycle we were ttc last time, and every time I was wrong. When I actually was KU, I felt like I did just know, but the difference is only something I could notice in hindsight, so not helpful. My first symptom was sudden bloating (I don't usually bloat much). I had to unbutton my pants in the middle of teaching a riding lesson (luckily I had a long jacket on). When I went to the bathroom later, I noticed blue veins being very visible all over hips and belly--never saw any veins there before. A week later, when af was due, I got a bfn. A week after that, I got a bfp. By that time, I also had very visible veins on my breasts and they were getting achy, frequent pulling and cramping in my lower belly and the bloat continued (I never could button up any of my pants from that point on).

I didn't have any symptoms at all. I was on PIO, though. I don't know if that made any difference.

With my first I had one random incidence of dizziness.  Went home and tested that night and got a bfp at like 9 or 10 dpo.  In hindsight I really have no clue if that was pregnancy related, but that's what made me test.

With my 2nd I had no indicators that I was pregnant, in fact I wasn't sure when I had ovulated because we conceived on vacation and I wasn't temping or using opks.  I just randomly tested the night before father's day 'just in case' and it was positive.  Again, it was early, I'm guessing somewhere around 10 dpo.  

Most symptoms and morning sickness didn't kick in with either pregnancy until 5-6 weeks.

With my DD, I had what looking back was implantation spotting (but I didn't confirm that was what it was until after I got a BFP). That really tipped me off because I had never spotted before my period before (and still never have) -- when I had the slight spotting and then it suddenly stopped, it got me thinking that maybe it was IB and not AF coming like I thought. I also had super sore boobs, which isn't that typical for me -- they get slightly sore at best before AF, but nothing like what it was. To be honest, I am continually wondering if I will have IB again the next time I'm pregnant....at least, if I see any pre-AF spotting again that is going to get my hopes waaaaaay up!

I had some pretty wicked AF-type cramps after ovulation that lasted until the week before my m/c. Unfortunately I also had those cramps other cycles after ovulation that resulted in a BFN.

So, I guess my first real symptom was a BFP. I started getting sore boobs, nausea, hives, the whole bit, quite awhile after my BFP.

The first indication for me was at 8dpo. I ate a sugar donut and immediately felt like throwing up. Then at 9dpo I was peeing literally every 10 mins. I didn't even drink a lot of water that day and didn't connect the dots until the next day when I got my bfp.  I always thought that didn't happen until later in pregnancy but it happened for me.

I had given up charting and temping when I got pregnant.  I noticed that I had this stitch like feeling over where my right ovarie is.  It was a weird feeling.  The only reason I tested was because it was the day before NYE and I wanted to make sure I wasn't before I partied the next day.  First time I've been a DD on New Years lol

Curiosity got the better of me and I tested this morning. BFN. :(   Its still about 5 days before expected AF ~ fingers crossed for a false negative.
