KC is shutting down. (NTTGPR)

What's up tonight, ladies? We are expecting a gigantic storm here in Kansas City and everything is closing down. Looks like the storm will be pretty broad. Which of you will it be effecting?

I wouldn't mind if no snow came at all. I get to stay home in my jammies either way!

I'm in Southern Illinois and we're on the ice side of the storm. The forecast has changed 3 times already as to what we're supposed to be getting. I'm going to check it in the morning and figure out if I'm going to school or not, since I have a 45 minute commute each way.

Eep. That's no fun even with out ice or snow. Also, I hate that most schools wait til the last minute to decide if they are cancelling. That's what everyone wants to do: sit on their hands at 5 or 6 AM waiting around.

They called off school here, which means no daycare so I am stuck at home. And I just found that I no longer have access to remote in to my work computer which is a major issue.

I don't want to waste my time off for this, and I have way too much stuff to do. I was off all last week and am still playing catch up.

As long as IT fixes my computer issues, I can still get some stuff done at least.

Me. We're taking a "snow" day, but it's really an ice day.

In the last 24 hours, I have seen big fluffy snow, then rain, then hail, thunder, and lightning, and now a ton of sleet. WTF is this? It's like the worst of winter and spring all rolled into one hugantic mess.

I'm the weirdo who wanted school today. We were on a special schedule, the school musical was being performed, and I would have had 90 minutes with band, instead of 50. Contest is looming near. Also, my news staff and I were going to use our 90 minutes plus lunch time to go and do a food review at an amazing local place that serves all kinds of awesome grilled cheeses. Sad panda.

We are west of you, and in the higher amount of snow. Considering we are feet BELOW drought levels, we will take whatever form of moisture we can get!

Chug, I don't know where you live, but I imagine it's in my vicinity, and yes, we will definitely take whatever form of moisture we can get, too!

My backyard fescue was downright perky after last week's little short-lived snowstorm. But what we really need is some good rain. Hopefully, the moisture in the ground now will help provide moisture when more systems pass through the area, so they have something to pull from. Droughts have a way of compounding on themselves. It's an awful, vicious cycle and I'm done with living through an historic drought!
