Dumb pumping question

LO will be 4 weeks old when I start back to work. I'm just going back part time, but there may be times when I'll need to pump. I was thinking of starting pumping before I go back to create a stash, but I'm not sure how to do it. Do I feed LO first then pump? Feed LO, wait a bit then pump? Thanks!

Are you trying to grow your supply? If so then pump after LO eats. Otherwise pump one side while LO eats the otherside. Pump first thing int he morning if you can. That is when you will get the most.

Granted my DD sleeps through the night or pretty close but I pump in the motn for storage at 12 and for a while 3. If I can I also pump after ever feeding, when I am home alone it is hard bc sometimes I can't put her down.

When I did this, I would feed LO on one side and pump on the other.
