What do you think of..

Madalene?

 DH and I haven't discussed names too much yet..I know, weird..

But DH's grandmother's name was Madalene and I've never heard this before and think it is kind of pretty.  A little different than Madeleine.  I never met her and DH wasn't a huge fan of her..I guess she was a cranky lady and it would in no way be naming after her..I am just curious what people think of the name

It looks like someone can't spell Madeline/Madeleine.

....or smooshed it together with Magdalene. 

...or forgot the "g" in Magdalene. 

Madeline/Madeleine is NMS when spelled correctly. Even with the family tie, I really don't like Madalene. 

Love Magdalene/Magdalena, though.

Yes, it was Mad uh leen..

I think it is pretty, just not sure..I haven't even brought the thought of the name to DH..not sure what he'd think.  Like I said, we have no names so I'm thinking whatever we pick is going to have to be something that grows on me, like a hidden treasure lol

I think it's beautiful...but your daughter will probably have to clarify it for people all her life, just depends if that is a big deal to you or not.

I thought you just forgot the g in Magdalene.  I'm really over Madeline-type names, but I can get on board with Magdalene or Magdalena.
