Dresser/Changing Combo?

Just wondering ways to use a dresser/changing combo dresser after you take the changing pad off and it leave you with the lower and higher side.  Just trying to get an idea how you would arrange things on the dresser to make it look balanced.  I have found a great deal on one on Craigslist, but we are not wanting to use it as a changing table...just dresser.  Any thoughts or experiences with this type of dresser?

We bought one like that, and I plan to use the lower part just for regular dresser stuff, and put a cute lamp on the raised part.

Can you just get a regular dresser and put a changing pad on it? That's what we did. You're only going to be changing LO up there until he/she becomes mobile. At that point, they're too wiggly and it's a hazard to change them anywhere but on the floor.

To me, the two-level changing combos scream "baby's room," which is not what you'll want in a couple of years.
