RnP Sleeper question-

Because of all of the mold recall info, how often are you guys realistically washing your RnP sleeper pad?

Right now we have two (borrowing one from a friend and then we just purchased another to actually keep when we return hers) so we can wash it every few days and just swap them out.  But when we return hers, I'm going to have to really plan out when I wash it, because DD LOVES sleeping in hers!

I just wash mine when I feel like she needs it. I don't think mold will grow without moisture so as long as it stays clean and dry, there's no reason to wash it. I've washed mine when LOL spit up in it and had a blowout diaper in it, otherwise it's prob ok.

Although we washed ours.. One got moldy.  Apparently DS1 sweats a lot.  We cleaned it per the instructions on the website and started washing it every other day.  No more issues.

I'll wash it if DS spits up or has a blow out. That's probably about it. I guess it depends how long we use it this time.

I agree.

I mean, she is sleeping in it quite a bit so I'll wash it at some point if she's sleeping in it long term even if it doesn't end up with any obvious bodily fluids, but I'm not planning to wash it once a week or anything like that.  I will keep an eye on things to make sure no mold grows though.  I'm not really sure how it would be an issue unless there were fluids getting on it.  DS was a swing sleeper and we never had issues with mold and I didn't wash it unless we had a problem.  Can't imagine that would be much different than a RnP as it seems to be made of similar materials

We have had a baby quilt in it since day so I've washed the quilt weekly and the actual RNP twice...no moisture has gotten to it...just some spit up on the quilt.

I thought the recall was only for older ones. I'm only washing when dirty.
