Dizziness During O?

I read online today that dizziness during O can be a sign of ovarian cysts. I have my OBGYN appointment next month and plan to ask her many questions. In the meantime I was wondering if anyone else has had this symptom or if they have had ovarian cysts and this happened to them?

Today at work I just got really dizzy and lightheaded and had to sit down for a while. My mom has had ovarian cysts and while I know it has nothing to do with me because I was adopted. I guess it is close to my heart and it makes me paranoid. I know one little thing does not mean much, but I was surprised to read this tonight. I am just looking for similarities, not answers. Thank you ladies!

I get dizzy every once in a while. Usually I will get really lightheaded after standing up quickly. I have had ovarian cysts rupture in the past, but have not linked my cysts to dizziness. Dehydration is usually the culprit in my dizzy spells.

Hmmm. I almost passed out at work once. I had a navel orange sized dermiod cyst removed 69 months later. I think I got dizzy from dehydration though.

I got really bad cramps and started throwing up at college and went to the doctor were they found the cyst. They can twist causing severe pain. Not really sure about the dizziness though.

My mom had one too so there may be a genetic factor with it.

I think in your case you are likely just scaring yourself. There are many things that could cause dizziness. Dehydration, low blood sugar, inner ear issues, etc.

Write down your symptoms including when they occur. Keep track of when you eat and also your water intake and take that with you to a drs appointment to see if they can figure out what might be going on

Edited for spelling

Thank you so much ladies. I am very sure I am worrying myself, and I appreciate the comments! I have been very sure to drink a lot lately, I had already had two bottles of water when that had happened and I ate breakfast and lunch, so I do not know what it could have been, but I am sure my OBGYN will help me out when I got and answer my questions. Thanks again!

Would you mind sharing where you read that? I've been noticing dizziness while waiting to O for the last couple of cycles. I have also been concerned about cysts due to long, irregular cycles, strange pains while waiting to O, and crazy long stretches of fertile CM. It never occurred to me that the dizziness might be related. I'm going in for a pelvic exam tomorrow to check things out and it would be good to know if I should mention the dizziness or not.

I have never been dizzy with cysts, just painful and sometimes week from the pain. Talk to you Dr though. I am sure these things can present differently for everyone.

This is where I found my information about dizziness being associated with cysts. While I would not seriously be alarmed because there is not much info on this, it was something I stumbled upon pp. Good luck to you!

Thanks. I'd read that dizziness and nausea are common when a cyst ruptures but this was new info. I'd be curious to see if there is a real basis for it.
