Preeclampsia

How many mothers had preeclampsia with there 1st pregancy

I am currently pregnant with my first and have been diagnosed with preeclampsia.

Started TTC 7/10
BFP#1 9.23.10-Missed MC discovered 10.25.10 at 8w1d - D&C 10.26.10
BFP#2 6.8.11- c/p- 6.11.2011
Started IF Testing- Oct. 2011 CD3 b/w & PCT- Normal
DH SA- 11/17- great! HSG- 11/23- All Clear! DX- Unexplained IF
IUI #1 Scheduled for January 2012 (canx due to annovulatory cycle) Appt with New RE- 1/13/12
DX- Compound Heterozygous MTHR (C677T/A1298C) and possible uterine abnormality
Possible DX of genetic issue (10% abnormal cells-mosacism issue??)
Hysteroscopy- 3/7/12 no uterine abnormality!! Finally all clear to start treatment!
IUI#1 May 2012- 100mg Clomid + Trigger = BFN
IUI#2 June 2012- 100mg Clomid + Bravelle + Trigger + progesterone= BFFN
Moving onto IVF with PGD July 2012- Start stims 7/9 ER 7/20- 8R - 6F
ET- 7/25- transferred 1 beautiful healthy embryo (stick, baby, stick)
+HPT at 6dp5dt beta#1(8dp5dt)-93 beta#2(12dp5dt)-607 beta#3(20dp5dt)-13,933
8/20 u/s- saw the heartbeat!!! :-)
It's a BOY!!!!

I had it with DD#1, suspected around 28-30 weeks, diagnosed and hospital bed rest at 32 weeks, delivered at 34 weeks. Last time, I did have pre-existing hypertension, don't think my OB fully took my medical history into consideration. This time, (new) OB did full baseline workup, haven't been on BP meds at all, and am hoping to try for a VBAC if all stays stable! Currently 28 weeks, no signs of swelling or elevations in BP!

I suspect I had it with my first, late-term, but was never diagnosed. The doctor intended to "keep an eye on it" and "follow up" at my next appointment, since I was already 38 weeks, but I had my daughter 2 days later. Pictures of me in L&D are so swollen though, both DH and I wince when we see them.

I started developing it during labor last time and because of that (and a few other reasons) I had a c-section. No signs of it yet this time.

I have had a bad heahache for a few day and have been nauseous for couple days to and notice my feet starting to swell and today my hands are swollen. Last Sunday found out I had little protein in my unrine so could it be the start of preeclampsia ?

it could be, how is your BP?

i have had mild hypertension for a couple weeks (this is my 1st preg) and initial labs for pre-e were normal, but I just completed the 24-hr urine collection and waiting to hear the result.

I had it at 38 weeks pregnant with the first, they told me to come into the hospital immediately and I was induced.
