So exactly how much does a tummy tuck cost?

LOL.  I want one...bad.  But w/o the recovery of course. :)  I need to lose the weight and maybe I'll feel differently...but I just have a feeling that all my stretch marks that came w/ DC#2 will mean loose skin all over my stomach!

Maybe I'll put a little jar on my counter for DH and call it the "Save the Stomach Fund".  With a little saying like "even 25 cents a day can help reverse the negative effects of carrying and delivering your 10 lb daughter." We'll see if DH will pop a quarter in it now and then LOL.

If you have 8 kids like Kate Gosselin you could get it for free! LOL

I'm too scared to have that done, and my son was 9lbs 15oz. so I know exactly what you mean!

I'll take one of those and some new boobs too!  These things are so huge and wobbly now.  I don't even want to imagine what they will be like when I'm done bf'ing.

Love it! I think the same thing everyday-plus a breast reduction and lift!

I *think* about $4-$5k?

I actually went to a plastic surgeon last year and got a quote on a breast lift and augmentation with a belt lift (a tummy tuck and @ss lift--they cut you all the way around instead of from pelvic bone to pelvic bone.)

I'm not sure if you seriously wanted a $number, but I was quoted about $25k for all three procedures. We live in Minneapolis, MN so that could be completely different where you live.

I WILL be having this done when we're done with having babies. I told DH he can just forego the jewlery "push presents" and get me that when we're all done--although it's kind of a gift for him, too, if you think about it. ;-)

Mine was $10k and I live in NY.  Yes I had it done AFTER losing 115 lbs on ww, but BEFORE meeting my husband and deciding to have kids.  ugh!  But it still looks better now than it did before. I am still paying it off but if I had the $ I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

And BTW Charlotte, I see that we both gained 60-70 lbs and had 10 lb babies.  I still have 36 to lose.  You would think that lugging him around all day would burn tons of calories LOL.  How big was yours at the 2 month checkup & now?  Mine was 16 lbs 3 oz at 2 month & looks like almost 18 now!

Maybe it's just the tummy tucks I've seen (as in, on vacation at our resort, etc...) but isn't it totally obvious that you've had a tummy tuck?

We have her 2 mo appt tomorrow and I am guessing she is between 15-16.  I am so anxious to find out b/c she is really heavy.

Are you doing anything in particular to lose the weight?  What I have lost so far is from doing nothing.  I really need to get in gear and exercise!

My friend got one after having her daughter.  I think it was like $7,000.  Worst pain she had ever been in for a long time, too.

I would love love love to get this done (and possibly breast reconstruction as well) after I'm done having kids - for those of you that would do it, do you feel any guilt about spending the $$ to get it done??  There are days where I don't really care about the $$ because I know I would feel so much more self-confident, but then there are days where I am like "how could I spend this kind of $$ when I could be putting it into retirement or into my kids college fund??"

Happy mommy = happy baby/kids right?
