Tiny Tiger Times
Happened So Fast

Aaron and I had talked about starting a family for some time, but had never felt the time was quite right. He is halfway through his Masters of Divinity, we are 12 hours from home and family, and we aren't exactly rolling in dough. His sister, Amy, called to say she was expecting and we were thrilled! Yay, a niece or nephew (a nephew btw). She is due in April. Aaron was unsure how to tell me because he knew I wanted to start a family, but we both had agreed not yet. He told me, I was happy, then jealous for a minute, then thrilled again! So, a few months later, to my great surprise, Aaron starts talking about possibly being ready to try for a baby. I was shocked! We prayed and talked, and prayed some more. He explained how being able to start a family before jumping back into full-time ministry made sense to him. he wanted to be able to focus on family first and have that be the priority going into his call. We both felt peace about this. So, end of November I stopped taking the little pill and got on a pre-natal and had a check-up. All good to go. We thought it would take at least three months minimum to get pregnant. HA We were on a much needed mini-vacation in Gatlinburg at the beginning of Feb. and I knew I was due for my monthly visitor. When she hadn't shown up by the end of the trip, and I was a couple days late, I mentioned to Aaron that we might want to get a test on the way home. So, back in town, and into Wal-greens I go. It felt oddly strange to be buying the pregnancy test and I made sure I handed it to the clerk with my left hand. Silly, I know. We got home a few minutes later and I ran to the bathroom, partly out of excitement, and partly because I needed to go really badly. I took the test, and did not have to wait long. The two blue lines showed up so quickly if I would have blinked I would have missed it. I was pregnant! I calmly walked out of the bathroom and waited for Aaron to bring in a load from the car, and he knew when he saw the huge, goofy grin and a few tears that our whole life was going to be different. And we couldn't be happier or feel more blessed as we await the arrival of LT!
